The Wait Is Finally Over

Filed in Uncategorized

SEW DEADLY hits the shelves this week and I couldn’t be more thrilled! It’s a dream come true, really. And one I tend to enjoy to the hilt.

First up? Haunting a few bookstores on launch day (Tuesday) just to see if it’s on the shelves yet (if you squint at your computer screen really hard right now you can probably see me crossing my fingers…and my toes for good measure).

Next? Hitting the road for a tour of some of my favorite independent bookstores throughout the midwest! This is the part I’m most excited about–getting out, meeting readers, being around people who “get it.” I’ve met so many wonderful people since I started writing…readers who have become close friends, readers I’ve never met in person yet supported me in my first ever Walk For MS in 2008, readers who send me emails that make me smile.

So…if you’re in the vicinity of any of my gigs over the next two weeks, stop by (check my events page for specific dates/times/locations)!! Or, if you’d like to learn more about the book, visit www.threadsmagazine.com and click on their August 4th blog (SEW DEADLY is front and center)!

Stop back next week when I hope to have some fun tales from the road I can share with all of you!

Can’t wait to read the first entry in the Southern Sewing Circle series! I love the premise, and the story promises warmth, wit and intrigue.

The greatest challenge you’re likely to face on the tour: How to keep track of all your new friends!

    Hi, Elizabeth!

I’m really looking forward to meeting you when you visit the library where I work–the Cudahy Family Library in Cudahy, Wisconsin–in two weeks! I’ve mentioned your visit to our Wisconsin chapter of Sisters in Crime and hope some members will live close enough to attend. I write mysteries, too, and think the mystery writing community and a sewing circle have a lot in common–shared interests, sound advice and unfailing support! Good luck to you with “Sew Deadly”! See you on Tuesday!

Kate, thank you for letting the Sisters in Crime in your area know about my visit on the 18th!!! I’m looking forward to it very much. I’m glad you’re coming…make sure you tell me who you are!

loving the new series, (hoping it is a series). i felt a part of the story, sort of like the feeling tori wanted the children to experience with the children’s room. the characters felt to me as they would if i actually lived in that small town. hard to explain but that’s it. would like to see the romance between tori and milo develop. a small town romance is nothing like the big city ones. thank you, i really enjoyed this book and will watch for the next one! judi

I love this new series. I just started it the other day and I can’t put it down. I hate having to wait for the next book. Write fast.
