I'm sure I had a hobby when I was smaller - most likely reading but right now I quilt for relaxation. I started quilting when I got laid off and it's been 5 years and I love that I can get my creative juices flowing and be surprised at the finished product. Quilting, cross stitch, today I even relearned how to cast on for knitting because I found some very soft, fluffly yarn to make on of those new boa scarfs but I realize now why it was on sale, it's a bear to work with. I guess I don't consider my writing a hobby. It just is. Maybe because I'm working to be published? Or maybe because I'm in the learning geek mode, it is just a passion. I’m still a try anything once girl.
