We have three that fall inside two weeks (mine included), and we have one get-together to cover 'em all. So come end of September or beginning of October, there's a gaggle of us at my folks' place. I have to admit that I give in to some of my perfect ideas......the tradition for my birthday dinner (or one of them) is to go to Lucatelli's --- a mom and pop old Italian restaurant with homemade gnocchi--my favorite! I sit at the table in the bar area, always ask for Carmen to be our waiter, and generally run into the older Italian crew that frequent the place :). Any kind of a fun 3 day weekend would always be on the list---beach, skiing with down time to read a good book (after buying it with a B&N gift card!) LOL MMmmmmm Boston Creme Pie sounds awesome!
