The name of my very first pet was Balthazar and he/she was a dragon who breathed fire and lived in my closet and ate certain kids and teachers for breakfast.

10) If I could compete in one Olympic area it would be whitewater paddling. I interviewed a kid who chipped through Lake Michigan ice to practice. Plus, paddlers are down-to-Earth folks who support each other as they compete. Cold hands, warm hearts, wills of steel. Good company, that.
