Okay, Spill It…
It’s Friday and time for our weekly “Bits & Pieces” questions. And since my curiosity is in overdrive at the moment, I shall skip any further chit chat and get straight down to business…
1) Did you ever play a part in a school play? What was it?
2) What do you miss most about being a kid? What do you miss least?
3) If you were stuck in a jail cell for the next year of your life, what would you want to do/teach yourself to pass the time? And for those extra creative souls out there…amuse us with what you did to get in there.
4) If you could go back to high school and learn a different language, what would it be and why?
5) You’re about to get dumped off on an island for the next six months. You must go alone. You can only take three things with you…what would you take?
Okay, bring ‘em on…

1) Did you ever play a part in a school play? What was it?
- Yes, but I don’t remember the details. It was a speaking part where I sat in a desk with another guy on stage while they changed sets.
2) What do you miss most about being a kid? What do you miss least?
- Miss most: building stuff, blowing stuff up, sleeping until noon.
- Least? Being locked to the house, neighborhood and being at the mercy of my parent’s schedules and cars.
3) If you were stuck in a jail cell for the next year of your life, what would you want to do/teach yourself to pass the time? And for those extra creative souls out there…amuse us with what you did to get in there.
- Exercise would be a given.
- finance and accounting details (MBA level stuff)
4) If you could go back to high school and learn a different language, what would it be and why?
- This assumes I remember what I learned back then! I’d probably still take Spanish, but try to remember more of it. And take the third year so I wouldn’t have had to waste all those credits in college on it.
5) You’re about to get dumped off on an island for the next six months. You must go alone. You can only take three things with you–what would you take?
- 9mm Glock and 1000 rounds
- a dozen bic lighters
- Big ass knife/hatchet like this (http://www.amazon.com/Spec-Machete-Survival-OKSP8-Category/dp/B00152MF1O)

) Did you ever play a part in a school play? What was it? I took Drama but we never did a school play… I did a part in Our Town for competition.
2) What do you miss most about being a kid? What do you miss least? Miss Summers off. Don’t miss – Living at home.
3) If you were stuck in a jail cell for the next year of your life, what would you want to do/teach yourself to pass the time? And for those extra creative souls out there…amuse us with what you did to get in there.
First cry… I’m kind of clostrophopic….Once I got calmed down, I would read the library. Start with A and go to Z. As far as what I did? Probably something stupid like threaten the bimbo who was trying to sleep with my man… I’m a walking living country song.
4) If you could go back to high school and learn a different language, what would it be and why? French – it sounds so nice.
5) You’re about to get dumped off on an island for the next six months. You must go alone. You can only take three things with you–what would you take?
A Kindle filled with as many books as it can handle. My phone which lets me read my email – I hope someone pays the bill while I’m gone. A six month supply of notebooks so I can write the Great American Novel along with exercising every day and becoming hot!

1. Not a part in a play, but I did props for “Grease” and it was a blast!
2. Miss most …. no bills to worry about! Miss least….my dad drank a lot until I was about college age…not fun for a little kid, but very thankful it did change even though it took awhile.
3. Write….hmmmm, what did i do? If i told you I’d have to kill you…..
4. I would have to say I’d stick with Italian and learn it at a more advanced level. I would like to be able to have a casual conversation and not have to think about each word.
5. Wow — tough one! A big notebook and a pen (shoot, does that count as 2?) This is making me realize how many things I use that need to be recharged!! I guess for # 3 a multi-tool…have to be a little practical!

So the desert island doesn’t have plug ins? LOL Ok, I’ll pretend my phone and kindle have solar powered batteries and the six month supply of notebooks includes a pen. LOL

LOL on some of these answers!
Okay, here I go…
1) I was the narator in my school’s christmas pageant one year. And had a minor speaking/singing role in an elementary school musical–don’t remember the name.
2) Miss most about being a kid? Reading for hours cuz I didn’t have any thing else to do. Miss least? Ditto what Lynn said.
3) I’d learn an instrument if they’d let me. Violin. I’ve always loved that instrument.
4) I’d take Latin. All the smart people seem to know Latin.
5) Paper/pen (I’m counting that as one), music, pictures.

OK–if pen & paper are one then I get another one….I’d take my guitar because I never get a chance to practice….can a book of sheet music go with it?!

I think you’re pushing it, Nikki.
Give ‘em an inch, they take a mile… Sheesh.
LOL. Maybe you could copy them INTO your pad of paper?

1) Did you ever play a part in a school play? What was it?
No, I was too shy. I did help backstage and with moving and building the set.
2) What do you miss most about being a kid? What do you miss least?
Not having to think about adult things and the carefree life we lead. Not being old enough to do certain things.
3) If you were stuck in a jail cell for the next year of your life, what would you want to do/teach yourself to pass the time? And for those extra creative souls out there…amuse us with what you did to get in there.
I would work in the library and get an advance degree. The only crime I can see myself going to jail for is jaywalking.
4) If you could go back to high school and learn a different language, what would it be and why?
I would learn French because when I was in junior high school and was in the French class, the teacher decided to switch to Spanish instead.
5) You’re about to get dumped off on an island for the next six months. You must go alone. You can only take three things with you–what would you take?
My nook, my ipod and my netbook.

OK–can I xerox and STAPLE into my pad? I won’t get any better if I practice without reading the notes! (remember, I’m the one who did NOT expect electric outlets on the island LOL)
