I’ve read so much lately, I don’t know where to start. I just finished reading all of Elaine Viets’ “Dead-end Job” series. Waiting for the next one to hit the stands. Now I am on “Sew Deadly”. Someone recommended it…

I’m nearing the end of the Sookie Stackhouse series, very light reading. Not sure what I’ll move on to after I finish this (3 more to go).

Elizabeth: Checked both Fantastic Fiction and Jennie’s site (and learned she’s got a dual personality thing going, LOL), There will be two more in the DIY series, but no release dates. She says hoping for late 2010 on #4, which would make it about nine months.

All of these sound great! Vicki, I must admit, I’m very curious about BEFORE I FALL. Sounds like it’s worth picking up.

Shel, check with Jennie Bentley but I’d be surprised if you have to wait a whole year until the next one. Maybe 6 or 9 months??

I’ve read BEFORE I FALL, a YA by Lauren Oliver where a girl has to relive her last day of life until she gets it right — so well done! HOMICIDE IN HARDCOVER by Kate Carmichael — I love this new Bibliophile Mystery series, the newest IF BOOKS COULD KILL is available and I’ve started but not finished. Reading THE LONELY POLYGAMIST by Udall and it is fascinating fiction about a man with 4 wives and 28 children. And there’s so much waiting!

Dru, that sounds like a plan, and it’s actually what I did with Bone Magic. I know I’ll need to do it with the new Dresden book coming out next month too. I don’t remember much of the last one because I’d been waiting for it for SO long and when I got it, I “gulped” it. Now I need to go back for a leisurely re-read and pick up all I missed to get ready for the new one!

Shel, I did that once but decided with all the books I read, and the fact that I waited for the latest book in a series, I might as well read it. What I do do is re-read the last one or two books in the series to catch me up.

Carly — Good to hear! I bought those books but haven’t read them yet.

I recently read Black Rain by Graham Brown (we chose it as our book club read), and it was quite interesting. It is definitely a thriller, however it also has an ‘Indiana Jones’ type component, a nice infusion a science, and a touch of science fiction or fantasy depending on how you look at it. It focuses on a governmental group adventuring through the Amazon rain forest in search of a Mayan city and what it might hold.
