Daydream Believer…
Filed in Dreamer Mondays
I’ll admit, I’ve been daydreaming a lot lately. Mostly because an end is finally in sight as far as deadlines are concerned (Sewing Circle # 4 officially went off to my editor today–woohoo!…which means romance # 3 revisions are all that’s left over the next two weeks).
Today’s dream? To get some sleep.
Tomorrow’s dream? Go for a looooonnnggg walk and finally get to enjoy this weather that’s been mocking me while I typed…and edited…and typed some more.
After-my-revisions-are-turned-in dream? A trip to Tennessee/Kentucky for the Southern Kentucky Book Festival. In my suitcases? A book…that’s been written by someone else. That I’ll actually have time to read. Ahhhh…
So how about you? What have you been daydreaming about lately?

Besides my trip to Seattle in three-ish weeks? Getting my second romance edited and put away in a box while the first parts float around the submission pool. Finishing my short story and getting these characters out of my head. And writing THE END on my first draft of my cozy so I can go into revision land with that.
And getting the call that starts my way out of the day job….

I’m dreaming about meeting some of my favorite authors at the end of the month. I’m dreaming about in 15+ years of my retirement relocation to somewhere in the southeast. I’m also dreaming of my trip to the Pacific Northwest at the end of August and mostly I’m dreaming that I need to hit lotto, Megamillion or Powerball so that I can leave my current job.

I have been daydreaming about yarn! While for some of you writing is your creative outlet – mine is knitting and crocheting. I recently found out that there is a store full of yarn for sale a mere 3 hours north of my house for only $18,000. I have been daydreaming about where I would put it all once I got it to my house. And I have been daydreaming about all of the things I would make with the yarn. I have raised my 1st $1 from an understanding sister but need only $17,999 more to turn my daydream into a reality!! My husband? He says “Keep on dreaming!” So I guess this daydream will never end!!

Good ones, there, Lynn. The call will come…
Dru, the lotto would certainly help… Sigh. But your trip sounds fun! And you’ll love Malice!
Mary, consider yourself another buck closer!
It’s the least I can do.

Dirt roads and split-rail fences and weathered barns that smell of fresh hay and old iron.

Lately a lot about the pile of rust, I mean the car in the garage. Started buying parts this month instead of removing old/broken parts.
Not quite day dreaming as ‘internet searching and dreaming’. Looking at all the possible things I could do. Of course, with a small budget it is going to take years.
This week is also spring break for the kids, so thinking a lot about blowing off work
