If you could pop yourself into one scene from any movie, what scene/movie/character would it be and why?
Me? I think I’d pick that scene in Pretty Woman where Richard Gere’s character takes Julia Robert’s character on an actual date. He doesn’t give her any details about where they’re going/what they’re doing except to tell her to get dressed up. Then he whisks her away on a plane and takes her to her very first opera. So, so romantic.
Your turn.

The first one that came to mind was Tom Hank’s character in Saving Private Ryan on the beaches during D-day. Not sure why that came first.
Second would be Luke Skywalker attacking the Death Star in the first Star Wars movie. Why? I must have dreamed/played to that scene hundreds of times as kid.

“The first one that came to mind was Tom Hank’s character in Saving Private Ryan on the beaches during D-day.”
Well that’s just nuts.
There’s this scene in a Marilyn Chambers movie I saw once where…oh, wait, not that kind of movie?
Never mind.

Gone With The Wind, my all-time favorite epic movie. Scarlett O’Hara and when Rhett says “I don’t give a damn,”, I would say “well, I do, now get back in here” and drag him back inside.

Would you be Luke Skywalker, Chris?
*shakes head at J.D.*
I can fill in the blanks for the rest of your scene, Dru!

Chris, I was thinking of the same scene from Star Wars — but I’d be Han Solo, screaming in as a last-second cavalry, blasters blazing, telling Luke to finish up so we could all go home.

Well, since JD started. The real first thought was being Richard Gere during the piano scene in Pretty Woman (That is still my wife’s favorite movie so I have to sit through it every couple of months.)
Yes I’d be Luke Skywalker. Sometimes it is good to just blow stuff up!

Sally Fields in Smoky and the Bandit… The road trip… the hat…
The wedding scene in 27 dresses when she’s walking up the aisle and looking at him.
The pottery scene in Ghost.
Anywere where the main female charactor is feeling loved and you can sense a HEA –

Lynn, I LOVE that movie… “I got the metal to the pedal, and the thing to the floor…” *grin*.
I think mine would be the part of Steel Magnolias where they’re at the Christmas festival thing. They’re all gossiping and having fun, and nothing bad has really happened yet…
