Pieces of You, Pieces of Me
Filed in Bits & Pieces Fridays
I went to an art show at my daughter’s school the other day, and one of the projects they’d made was a name depiction of themselves. They wrote their names in big block letters, then added pictures of their interests in and around the lines.
My daughter turned the top of one “N” into a basketball hoop, the straight part of her “J” a palm tree. A violin was nestled inside her “E” and, well, you get the point.
So tell me, if you were given such a task now, as the person you are this minute, what sort of interests/hobbies would you choose to depict?

Mine would include books, quilts, airplanes, luggage, TV, cruise ship, computer and musical notes.

I like those Dru. Mine would include books, a tablet/pen, the ocean, a “photograph” style depiction of my family, luggage, musical notes (cuz I love to listen), and maybe a little table with friends at it. And games. I like games.

I think we should actually draw them somehow and post
I would have a pen, a hockey stick, a softball, a golf club, a dumbell, a ‘mac’ apple, maybe a pair of glasses to depict reading?, cat whiskers, something mystery related….and some kind of outdoor reference to water.

Mine would have a cat. Long and black hugging the L. And a dart in the middle of the last N. A computer with paper flowing out of it inside the Y. And books, lots of books around the middle N.

I see a camera hanging from the hook of the J, an ancient telescope built into the O, and friends and family (that originally read fiends and family, and I sort of like that idea) sitting, climbing, hanging on the E.

Very cool. I like the way some of you put it into the letters. Now I need to go back and think where I’d put all my things… In what letter…
