Do You Dream?
Filed in Dreamer Mondays
They say everyone dreams, yet I don’t remember mine the vast majority of the time. I suspect it’s because I’m so tired at night that my mind simply doesn’t have time to be creative. Or, maybe, I have no creativity left after writing all day.
Do you dream? Do they tend toward happy or scary? And have you ever had a dream that ended up being a deja vu later?

Do you dream? Oh, yes, in great detail. I always have. I even remember some dreams I had as a child. I can even control them somewhat at times. Most of them I forgot the details to as my day goes on but I remember the gist.
Do they tend toward happy or scary? They tend toward confusing and active. Some mornings I wake up even more tired than when I went to bed from all the running around I’ve done.
And have you ever had a dream that ended up being a deja vu later? Yes, but it
s usually so much later I can’t tell/remember if it was a nighttime dream or what is causing me to feel the deja vu … only that I’ve seen the specific blip before. Most of my deja vus are thoughts and feelings though,
My husband and daughter both insist they don’t dream most of the time which I know from my psych classes in college is not true. When they can remember the stray dream it’s always in black and white. Experts say color is usually the first detail to go from your dream memory.

I figure my dreams are good since I don’t wake up with nightmares. I’ve had a couple of deja vu moments when I thought something happened and it didn’t until I remembered it was once a dream.

I dream a lot. Like Aimee. My dreams are vivid and I can tell when I’m stressed, I get dreams with too many things… Too many cats, too many puppies, too many books… Which is funny I haven’t had a too many dream recently since I’m STRESSED… LOL
I also get mad at my husband because of dreams. He dumps me for the gas station girl, he’s having an affair .. and then he’s just mean to me. Or maybe just indifferent. But I still wake up MAD. But then I tell him and we laugh…

Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again.
Or maybe it was Schenectady.
Lots of dark halls and candles, be it here or there.
My dreams arrive in packs. I’ll have odd assortments of events that I can remember for nights at a time. Then just as abruptly, they leave.
The dream of flying? I’ve had that only once or twice, but it was so vivid, so real, I can feel it still.
