Nuggets
As I get older, I’ve uncovered a few nuggets (better late than never, right?) about myself. They are, I guess, some of the things that make me, me…
* I hate to sit still (not in an ADHD kind of way, but a prefer-to-do-rather-than-watch kind of way).
* I crave simple, wholesome fun (think mini-golf and picnics/hikes).
* I thrive in orderly environments (I get seriously stressed around clutter).
* I’d choose an experience over a possession any day of the week (keep the car, I’ll take the trip).
* I’m kind of old fashioned in many, many ways (actually, I might set the women’s movement back a few years).
* I like hugs (great battery rechargers).
I know there are more things I’ve uncovered about myself over the years, but these are some of the big ones–the ones I’m trying hard to respect and celebrate.
So how about you? What are some things you’ve uncovered about yourself?

Hah- I knew I drove you crazy at nationals…

I like taking my time to think before a decision.
I’m not a mass producer. If I make one scarf – fun. But four? Shoot me.
I like producing widgets and meeting goals.
I’m not a smoozer. I can talk with anyone, but tell me I have to network? Painful.

I can’t stand clutter. If I can see the floor or walls I just go crazy.
I love order – if you didn’t find the item in that place, then don’t leave it there.
I love giving away my quilt project. If I was to make it a business, I would stop because then it becomes a chore.
I love working in the background and I’m a great team player, put me out in the front and then I wither.

Lynn, most of that clutter was mine! I mean in the environment where I live/work. We were barely IN the room so it was okay!

Dru, I’m with you on 1 and 2 all the way. I found your 3 very interesting because I think I’m that way, too (just not with quilts).
