Three Things (The Stretching-It Round)

Just when we think spring is ready to come, a big ol’ snowstorm is barreling in my direction. On what was supposed to be a pretty busy week, I might add.

In the meantime, though, how about three things from the weekend (although I’m kind of reaching this go-round)?

I spent a large chunk of my Friday and Saturday reading through Emergency Dessert Squad # 3–Dial M for Mousse–in what is known as the “copy edit” phase. It was pretty smooth sailing, but because it’s one of the last stages to catch a mistake, it’s a tiring kind of read.

Then Saturday evening, DD # 1 and I headed up to Boston for a big audition thing. I hung out in the hotel for most of Sunday morning, while she was a few miles away doing her thing. I wrote this post ( 🙂 ), watched a preview of a TV show a friend is involved with, and generally killed time.  And I had a Boston Crème donut because, well, yeah…

And then, it was time to drive over to Albany to meet up with a fellow college student DD # 1 was going the rest of the way home with, and then for me to continue on to home (about 4-4 1/2 hours in all).  I, of course, turned to hefty amounts of car snacks to keep me awake until I was back safely in my own bed.

Okay, your turn. Tell us three things you did over the weekend.

    1. Completed Christopher’s Boy Scout uniform (he crossed over the weekend before) And bought a complete Adult uniform for me. (Deb sewed on all the patches!)

    2. cleaned the gutters. Went through 20 years of paint (we’re coming up on 20 in this house) Added 5lbs of kitty litter into about 20 cars of 1/4 or less full paint cans so I could throw it away (all paint > 7 years old). Heck, several we couldn’t figure out what we had painted!

    3. Finished the stair project. Got to play with a brad-nailer (air power!)

    1. What did I do??? Came downstairs in shock Saturday morning to white outside, spent the morning reading and watching the birds at the feeder.
    2. Hubby was off so we put up some Easter, did a little shopping.
    3. Made homemade potato soup to which when I went to get a bowl the second day, that was all that was left 1 bowl, LOL. Oh and laundry, always laundry.

Now I want a donut, I wonder why???

1 Snow, snow, snow – wahooo. Although it was gone by noon. Took some photos (on facebook) and played in it a bit
2 Helped with Louie again all weekend and still
3 Never got my reviews done because brain is on the fritz. I blame it on over whelming circumstances here. Tyler and Louie both got new beds so did some work with them – they had to expand before being used.
So except for the wonderful snow a pretty boring weekend. Oh I did make a beef roast in the crockpot, but unfortunately mom unplugged it and it didnt turn out as well as usual
