Back In The Saddle Again

While my “summer off” to hang with the kids/find me doesn’t really start for a few weeks (lots to do first), the first change I’m making is to get myself back to the gym on a regular basis. I was doing so good until that nasty little MS flare I had in early May.  I worked out through much of that, but then I was wiped out for the rest of the day. After a while, it got so rough I had to abandon that, too. Once I got through it, the writing had to be the priority with a looming deadline and lost writing time.

But now, with the flare and the book behind me, it’s time to get back in the saddle again, so to speak.

When I last went to the gym, I was working through my own Shunned and Dangerous. So that’s what I’ll be reading this week. I think I left off at about the halfway mark.

So what are you reading? Any books you’re really looking forward to in the next month or so?  Me? I’m eagerly anticipating the next Linda Castillo thriller (July).

I’m losing my mind (in a good way). Right now I’m trying to get Hex on the Beach by Gina LaManna read for a book discussion. I’m lucky enough to get to read an ARC Mocha and Murder by Tonya Kappes to review, then I have another one by her but it’s not due till next month. Not to mention I won a second in the series book so I need to get the first one read. I can like this kind of pressure, LOL.

So sorry about your flare up, but you are amazing getting back on the saddle so soon.
I am in the middle of A hiss before dying : a Mrs. Murphy mystery, by Rita Mae Brown. I am looking forward to the next David Rosenfelt, Linda Castillo and Donna Andrews and so many others. Including your new book next year. I adored Patterned.

    Glad you’re feeling better, Laura!!
There are so many books I want to read I had to start a list…it’s about 5 pages long. Geez! I don’t mind this kind of pressure either.
I am still reading Rebecca. HaHa! It got a bit boring, but now it’s pretty exciting. The story took a turn. I can’t wait to get off work and go home to read.
The next book in line is Pinned for Murder. Can’t wait!

Andrea, I’m glad Rebecca picked up for you. It’ll help you get through with it and onto Pinned faster! 🙂
