Three Things (and Maybe a Few More)

So I’m back. Our family vacation to Williamsburg, Virginia was fun-filled and the weather was bright and sunny every single day, making it difficult to come up with just three things to share. Alas, you may get a few bonus things this go-round.

While I didn’t get any pictures at the water park (which I adored), one of the kids managed to snap this photo just after I got on the sky ride at the amusement park. IMG_4212 (1)

My favorite part of the whole trip was visiting the Jamestown settlement. I love when you get to see/experience places/things the way they once were…

We also made a stop in Yorktown where I came across this officer’s tent with all sorts of writings in a journal…

Colonial Williamsburg was fun, too…

Now how about three things from your weekend (or past week)?

    1. Completed major apartment move 2 of 3 (Courtney moves to her apartment on Tuesday for what should be the last apartment move)
    2. First day of middle school for Christopher
    3. Finally got the stripes, decals and emblems on the project car. Exterior is done, 8+ years after I started.

Wow, Laura! Looks like fun! Welcome back. 🙂
I bet you are worn out, Chris. Good luck with tomorrow’s move!
    1. I volunteered at the library. So peaceful.
    2. There was also a “Meet the Authors” event at the same library. That was so fun! I met some very nice authors. I purchased a book called The Button Box by Janet Sever Hull. Great story! I love buttons! She and the illustrator, Vicki, are super nice!
    3. I started reading a new book. I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella. I’m burning through this one. It’s really fun and a few times I have laughed out loud!
Hope everyone has a great week!

Who moved this weekend Chris? Was this weekend’s an apartment tied to school? And not sure if you’ve ever done Williamsburg, but I suspect your little guy would love Jamestown. Lots of “experiencing” kind of stuff.

Andrea, so you’re telling me I should make I’ve Got Your Number my next book to read? (I’m looking for one)

Wow looks like you had a blast Laura! Tons of fun for sure.
Yep Chris I hope you are resting before the next move.
Andrea I will have to check that book out. Love laughing, lol
This was a pretty boring weekend. The heat was bad so I did not do much.
    1. Got caught up on shows I had on the dvr
    2. Got caught up on facebook going through my newsfeed most all the way for a change
    3. Stayed in the house instead of the hut last night because I thought we were going to get storms. Didn’t happen, just heavy rain. Funny thing, the calming stuff I give Tyler always seems to knock him out the next day, lol. Snoozy puppy today.
Hope everyone has a great week.

Month of July was boxing up my mom’s apartment and moving all her things. Last week in July moved my oldest daughter’s heavy things (bed, dresser etc.) and most of her stuff. Last weekend was finishing the move of her small things (so no need for a truck). Today Deb moves my middle daughter (sophmore) into her college apartment. Luckily nothing ‘heavy’ but it did take most of the weekend to box up everything.

THis weekend I clean the garage and figure out what else has appeared in the last two months 🙂

Wow, Chris! You’ve been busy! Hope you get to take it easy soon.
Totally, Laura & Kay! It’s a fun read!
It’s always nice to get caught up on stuff, Kay! I just added a show to my list–Grace and Frankie. It’s pretty funny.

FB can definitely eat up time, Kay!

Chris–wow. Was your mom there in GA by you, Chris?
