Still Learnin’

We’re having Nor’easter # 2 in these parts today, only this time, instead of 70 mph wind gust and unbelievable rain, we’re due to get snow. They’re saying that from 2-6 p.m. today, it’ll be falling between 1-3 inches per hour.

Glad I’m inside…

I’m working on women’s fiction # 2 today (and really, just about every day for the next several months), and then getting some stuff together for a phone call with my publicist tomorrow. Busy, busy…

Of course, I’m a wee bit worried we’ll lose power again. So making sure all is charged throughout the day, just in case.

And now, for some odd reason, I feel like sharing a few “newly learned (by me)” items with you. Some are odd…okay, most are…but it’s a snow day and that’s supposed to mean fun:

*Yoplait Lite Yogurt is pretty darn good (especially the very cherry flavor).

*Having a phone number plugged into your phone incorrectly can lead to issues.

*The U.S. mail service apparently no longer abides by the whole “neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays these courageous couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds” as evidenced by the fact there was no mail delivery on my street for two days.

Any recently learned tidbits (funny or otherwise) you care to share us?

~Elizabeth (aka Laura)

No matter how many times the cat beats at the window, it cannot get the bird.
When you have to go to the bathroom really bad that is when you will get stopped 15 times before getting there.
While in said bathroom everybody that hasn’t called you in weeks will call.
Squirrels have a terrific sense of balance.
Be safe and I hope that you don’t lose power again!

Off the Beaten Path chickpea, pea and black bean chips are amazing. Just enough salt and flavor and delicious with salsa.
Detour peanut/caramel and peanut cream bars taste like candy bars.
I realized today that someone should really design sweat pants for ladies who are overly endowed in the rear area, lol. Yoga pants are much better
Not something I recently learned, but just wanted to add it – tonic water really does help with leg spasms, restless leg, and other spasms.
Oh and cotton candy still tastes as good as I remember
Everyone in the path of this storm stay safe and warm!!

Sams has it and our grocery store does too. And it comes in a handy plastic tub. Small enough to keep me from gorging myself, lol.

All very interesting and helpful tidbits!!!

I have just one that I learned yesterday…if your work computer claims it has run out of memory you will not be able to get on the internet. So, deleting all of the previous person’s gazillion pictures will free up some memory. I was so excited when I figured this out. 🙂

Hope all is okay! Have a great day!
