bookclub *READER SUGGESTED BOOK CLUB QUESTIONS FOR SEW DEADLY*

If you’d like to have me meet with your book club via speaker-phone, contact me by CLICKING RIGHT HERE and we’ll see what we can get set up!

1) Nostalgia seems to linger in Tori’s life. Review the things/people who are a part of her nostalgia and discuss the impact they have on her life. Who/what is on your personal nostalgia list and why?

2) Milo Wentworth takes time to get to know Tori. In what ways did he help Tori and in what ways did she help him?

3) Close your eyes and imagine the library’s new children’s room that Tori created. What was her reason for using actual children-drawn images for the wall murals? What favorite children’s book would you have wanted to see on the wall? What costume would you have contributed to the trunk?

4) Deep, abiding, life-long friendships are at the core of SEW DEADLY, even as far as covering a multitude of sins. Who is your favorite “friend” in this story and what makes her unique? Now, think of a favorite friend you have…what characteristics make her so?

5) Have you ever moved to a new town by yourself? If so, how did you make new friends?

6) In the south, food means a lot of different things. Do you see food playing a symbolic role in SEW DEADLY? How?

A big thank you goes out to my readers–especially Leigh, Jeanne Marie, and Karen–for crafting such great discussion questions!
