Weird how that happens, isn't it, Lynn?

Chris, I wonder what he was doing at the moment it came? Was he dreaming, looking at something that sparked it, etc.

I know that Ridley Pearson (Peter and the Starcatchers) came about that idea after reading Peter Pan to his daughter at night. She asked him how he thought Peter Pan and Captain Hook first met. Boom, a novel was born.

I remember reading Pierce Anthony's 'A spell for Chameleon' as a teenager and wondering how the heck he came up with the idea. He was melding the 'real' world of the SE US with a fantasy world in Florida.

I'm a seed grower too. For The Bull Rider's Brother - the idea came from a cabin rental hot springs place that we stopped at one camping trip. The owners were growing tilapia in tanks in the back yard. The cabin rental stayed, but the tilapia farm got reassigned.

Chris, yes, well said. While I don't think I ever caught his eye (I wasn't pretty enough), I sat there and watched him eye friends of mine who were. Your description is spot on.

Dru, I'll always remember the bicentennial. I was little then, but I went to Op Sail in NY that year. Very cool!

Elizabeth, you didn't like Mr. M? Ha, not a surprise you're a woman. I thought he was cool until I got older and realized what a tool!

Never had Mr. Filo. Only had one run in with him for a detention because I forgot my shoes at work. He never gave me a slip or wrote down anything I saw so I never went. 2 years later he never said a word about it.

Really need to get the DNS at work fixed so I can comment from there!

1) Did you get a class ring? Do you know where it is?

Yes. Next to Deb's in the safe deposit box

2) A school activity you were involved in (either athletic or otherwise)?
Football Sophomore and Junior year

3) Class you despised the most and why?
Freshman biology. The people and total lack of control the teacher had.

4) Most beloved class?
Anatomy with Mr. Lucy. AP Physics with Mr. Couch was a close second. Really had to work in both of those.

5) A major history event that occured while you were in high school?
Challenger explosion. We were at lunch and a kid told us and everyone's first response was 'that isn't funny '. Then everyone was talking about it.

3) gym - gym just wasn't my thing

4) Math

5) America turned 200 years old; Nixon resigned

Aimee - I also have my mother's class ring. I chose yellow gold with mother of pearl to match hers. her's is smaller and mine is the size between a lady's and a man's. I also still wear hers.

1) Yes, I got a class ring and it is in my jewelery box next to my mother's class ring.

2) Choir and drama

3) Chemistry. We have no air conditioning in our school and even in winter it was so hot in the wool sweater and kilt (catholic school).

4) Choir

5) The Challenger exploded while we watched live in religion class. We also had a Cessna crash land on our football field my junior year.
