Aimee, I was writing the check for my Factory 5 Cobra kit car when my wife called me and told me she was pregnant with our third child. Ripped up the check. Maybe some day ... (I'm thinking a good father/son project in about 10 years!)

Chris C,
I fell in love with the real (as opposed to those fake ones Ford appropriated the name for) Shelby Cobra from the Fiddler and Fiora mystery series by A.E. Maxwell. I did a bunch of research on them at the library and cannot get them out of my head. Even though I am a respectable suburban mom now. ;)

My husband has promised that we will do the kit car one day (I sure can't afford $1M plus for a real one) and drop in a screaming motor.

My Monza stalled every time I came to a stop. It was my test car. If I could survive it, I got a real car. And they made good on that deal too. The next year I got a 1985 Pontiac Fiero. Man, I loved that car. And I got to watch the Monza be crushed into a blue cube too. :)

And, depending on who you trust, the metro DC area is either the worst or the second worst traffic in the US. So rockets ... it's a dream of mine and a nice fantasy at that.

I'm sensing a theme with these rockets, paintball guns, and machine guns. You guys must be driving on the same roads I drive. Oh. My. Gosh. The hashtag for that would be #lousydriversincitethoughtsofmurder

JD, when the time comes for your next ride the 05+ V6 Mustangs will give any non-Cobra 79-04 Mustang GT a run for its money and get 30 MPG. Amazing what technology can do for the old internal combustion engine!

1) What was the first car you were able to call your own?

1977 Toyota Corolla. It was this ugly yellow orange color. I called it The Great Pumpkin.

2) Dream car?

'68 Ford Mustang Convertible. Dark red.

3) How many cars have you owned over the years?

Toyota Corolla (POS, but it ran)
MG Midget (POS, ran sporadically)
Honda Accord (loved it)
Nissan Maxima (meh)
Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Liter (loved it, loved it, would have married it, but the law's the law)
Ford Mustang six cylinder (pretty good but I miss my GT)

4) Must-have on a car?

Air conditioning. I live in the South.

5) Would-like-to-have on a car?

Twin .50 caliber machine guns in a remote controlled turret on the roof.

Elizabeth here you go:

Aimee, excellent choice on the Cobra. Sick, sick cars to drive. Hmm, Rockets. I always wanted paint ball guns to mark the idiot drivers for others to stay away from. (and the monza rusted on the dealer floor it was so poorly built.)
